This background has provided Ian with competency for relating to clients on a personal level. This relation aids as a driving force for Ian, in terms of looking at legal issues from a client’s perspective and factoring that into any solutions to their legal issues.

Following his Undergraduate endeavours, Ian attended Dalhousie University where he graduated with his Juris Doctor, including a Certificate in Criminal Justice. Having joined McGrathBoyd in 2025, Ian is currently completing his Articling year, with the expectation of being called to the Bar in June 2026.

Ian has a range of interests within the field of law. His main areas of focus include Wills & Estates, Probate Law, Debt Litigation, Family Law, and Corporate/Business Law. His experience allows him to work directly alongside clients, constantly keeping their interests in mind, to maximize their satisfaction in his solutions to their legal issues.

Outside of law, Ian spends his time working on complex tasks, usually in the form of fixing or restoring various goods. Whatever the form, Ian takes challenges head on. He also enjoys spending his time on ameliorating himself through reading or focusing on his fitness goals.

Ian has a significant dedication to his clients, never settling with a basic solution. Rather, he seeks the best solution possible for each client to give them the outcome that they deserve.
